Bill and Suzanne McKenna assembled an impressive collection of 1750-1860 American antiques in their New Jersey home. Most are early original-surface pieces or those with first-generation paint, from small pantry boxes to large cupboards. The earliest section of their home was built around 1900, yet the McKennas have been sensitive to lighting and backdrop to show their vintage treasures to fullest advantage, as the article’s photos show.
